1. Introduction

Dr. Xiao Feng received his B.S. degree in material chemistry in 2008 and Ph.D. degree in material science in 2013 from Beijing Institute of Technology. He carried out a joint Ph.D. research program supported by CSC at Institute for Molecular Science, Japan (2009-2012). Now he is an professor at Beijing Institute of Technology. His work mainly focuses on the structure-function relationship of crystalline porous materials (i.e. covalent organic frameworks and metal-organic frameworks) and membrane separation. As first or corresponding author, he has published 51 papers in highly acknowledged journal, including Science. (1), Nat. Mater. (1), Adv. Mater. (2)., J. Am. Chem. Soc. (7), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (14) and Nat. Commun. (1) . Up to now, he has published papers with about 14 000 times non-self-citations, and has a H-index of 56.
